The swimming pool was lovely and the breakfast was savoury and tasty. The staff was helpful and our experience was very lovely overall. Location: the hotel was right by an amazing garden, Johannesburg's northern suburbs, and the airport. We had lunch in Nando's Kosher, located nearby.

Spent Christmas at a guest house that was well presented. Loved the African aesthetic with all the beautiful instruments and figures. the outdoor lapa area offered everything we needed for a true South African experience, with charcoal braaier and gas barbecues. the rooms were great, with roomy walk-in showers and comfortable beds. the staff were very attentive, making sure we were comfortable, and the location was safe. It was also close enough to shops, making it easy to get what we needed.

the location was convenient, just outside the busy area but still close to everything. We were able to easily explore Melrose Arch and other tourist points nearby. the staff was helpful in recommending places to visit. the room was clean and comfortable and had all the facilities we needed for a short stay.

The kitchen was not well-equipped, lacking basic utensils like serving spoons and a soup ladle, which made cooking challenging.

We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious rooms and comfortable beds at Waverley Guest House. The owner, Paula, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable, even providing us with a new spot to charge our devices. The location was central and serene, and we especially loved waking up to the sound of birds in the surrounding trees. I highly recommend this hotel for a secure and homey experience.
